Founded by Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal, Snapdeal is yet another e-commerce company in India. Both Rohit and Kunal are alumni of Wharton Business School and IIT Delhi.
Snapdeal has grown as the largest online shopping site in India. The company focuses on the value e-commerce segment which has more potential than branded goods market.
Most of the products listed on Snapdeal offers value money products at cheap and affordable rates. That’s why 3,700 towns across India shop on Snapdeal.
In fact, Flipkart also tried acquiring Snapdeal at an offer of $700 million but Snapdeal rejected it. In the year 2021, Snapdeal was having 20 million registered users and over 200 million products sold by millions of sellers online.
5.Jabong
Next to Myntra, Jabong was yet another online shopping site in India. The company was founded by Manu Kumar Jain in the year 2012 and was later acquired by Flipkart through its unit Myntra for about $70 million.

6.Grofers
Founded in 2014, Grofers is unique is an e-commerce company in India and I’ll tell you why? The company mainly focuses on the online delivery of grocery items.
It is backed by SoftBank, Tiger Global and Sequoia Capita and has received $535.5 million of funding to date.
During the COVID-19 situation in 2020, Grofers along with Amazon India and Big Basket were among the few online shopping sites in India that continued to operate in tough conditions.
Of course, the company made huge profits as well.
Zomato, a food delivery app in India had an eye on holding a stake in Grofers and in June 2021, Zomato signed a deal with Grofers to invest nearly $120 Million in the company and acquired a 9.3% stake in the online grocery firm.

In the year 2019, Softbank invested $275 million in Lenskart and made it a $1.5 billion eCommerce company in India.
I personally believe that Lenskart enjoys a monopoly in the market because it is of a kind company in India. It solely focuses on the eye-wear category which makes them unique.
As of September 2020, Lenskart has more than 700 stores in India and it products 300,000 eye wears per month.

Valuation of Shopclus is $1billion and half a million sellers on its platform claimed to be the highest in the Indian e-commerce industry. The company was started in the year July 2011 by Sanjay Sethi, Sandeep Aggarwal and Radhika Aggarwal and is now owned by Clues Network Pvt. Ltd.
